NCERT Solutions for Class 2 Hindi Chapter 09 Duniya Rang-Birangi

Question 2. Poetry often uses blue color in a special way, just like in open sky. From the poetry given in this chapter, write a few examples of how blue and pale color are used -
Answer: In the poetry presented, blue color shows up in several meaningful ways. The blue peacock gets startled by the sound of thunder during the night. At dusk, the sky becomes blue and the stars come out as night falls. Blue also represents the vastness of the sky and the deep blue sea. Pale color is used to show the beauty of pale flowers blooming in spring gardens and the first light of early dawn spreading across the earth.
In simple words: Blue is used to show the sky, birds, and big open spaces. Pale color shows flowers, soft light, and gentle beauty in nature.

Exam Tip: When answering questions about color in poetry, always give specific lines or phrases from the poems as examples - naming the colors alone is not enough for full marks.
