आनंदमयी कविता
एक हमारे दादाजी हैं,
एक हमारी दादी।
दोनों ही पहना करते हैं,
बिल्कुल भरी खादी
दादी गाना गाया करती,
दादाजी मुस्काते
कभी-कभी दादाजी भी,
कोई गाना गाते।

इस कविता को जब आप पढ़ते हैं, तो दादा-दादी की खुशियों को महसूस करिए। 'दोनों ही पहना करते हैं, बिल्कुल भरी खादी' - इसका मतलब है कि दोनों को खादी पहनना बहुत पसंद है। कविता में कौन-कौन सी बातें दादा-दादी के बारे में बताई गई हैं, इसे ध्यान से सुनिए और समझिए।

शब्दों का खेल
- 'अप्पू अप्पा अप्पम' की तरह 'अ' की जगह 'म', 'न', 'नानी, नाना, मामा, मामी, दुनादेन, अपना, अनार, नमना' की ध्वनियों की संख्या बताइए -
- निम्नलिखित शब्दों को सुनकर उनमें आई ध्वनियों की संख्या बताइए - दादा, दादी, नानी, नाना, मामा, मामी, दुनादेन, अपना, अनार, नमना
- बोल मेरी मछली, कितना पानी?
नीचे दिए हुए चित्र को देखकर मछलियों की संख्या बताइए -

शिक्षण-संकेत
बच्चों के साथ मिलकर शब्दों का खेल खेलो नए-नए सार्थक-निरर्थक शब्द बनाओ। 'दादा' शब्द में दो अक्षर हो। इसी तरह शेष शब्दों में अक्षर/ध्वनियों की संख्या पूछो। बच्चों से मछलियों की संख्या लिखवाओ।

जब आप शब्दों को सुनते हैं, तो सबसे पहली ध्वनि पर ध्यान दीजिए। 'अनार' में पहली ध्वनि 'अ' है, तो उसके आगे सही का चिह्न लगेगा। 'माँ' में पहली ध्वनि 'म' है, इसलिए इसे छोड़ देंगे। इसी तरह हर शब्द के साथ सोचिए।
खोजें-जानें
'दादा-दादी' और 'नाना-नानी' कविताओं को अपने परिवार के किसी सदस्य को सुनाएँ। उससे 'परिवार' और 'घर' से जुड़ी कोई कविता या कहानी पूछें और सुनाने के लिए कहें

हो सकता है कि सभी बच्चे यह कार्य करके न ला पाएँ, जो भी बच्चे ला पाएँ, उन्हें अपना कार्य कक्षा में साझा करने को कहें तथा सभी बच्चों को उनकी अपनी भाषा में गीत/कविता सुनने-सुनाने को प्रोत्साहित करें।
