Websites having the extensions '.ac', '.gov', '.edu' indicate that these websites are academically more reliable.

A collection of pages on the world wide web which has a common address with specific content is called a website. Learning that happens through the website is called web based learning. This type of learning is called e-learning or online learning. Institutions that offer online courses conduct all processes right from admission to the result through their website.

A website offering web-based learning has: Logo of the institute, Course name, Login, Profile, Uploads, Downloads, Exercises and assignments, Information, Course material, Video lectures or video recordings, Live telecast, Space for asking questions.
