Officers In Armed Forces (Entries After X + II)

NDA is a famous academy in Pune. Many Indian students join the armed forces to protect our country. You can become an officer after studying hard.
Exam Trick
Remember: NDA entries are after Class 12 (X + II). AFMC entries are also after Class 12. SSB interview is needed for all entries except AFMC and Nursing.
Points To Remember
NDA is located in Pune.
You need Class 12 pass for officer entries.
AFMC is for medical stream students.

(Can be attempted while in the final year of graduation)
1. Through Combined Defence Services entrance examination. (Permanent Commission stream or Short Service Commission stream.)

Entries In Non-Officer Cadre

There are also technical entries for diploma holders as direct recruitment at Non-Commissioned Officer levels (Naiks and Havildars or equivalent ranks in the Navy and the Air Force).

Non-officer cadre means soldiers and workers in the army. You can join as a Jawan after Class 10 or Class 12. This is like how police constables are recruited in your city.

Remember: Non-officer cadre = Jawans, Airmen, and Naviks. They have lower qualification needs than officers. Diploma holders can join as Naiks or Havildars.
