Re-admission for 60,000 students who failed Class 10

Recently class 10 board exam results were announced in Delhi. Sadly out of 64,570 students, more than 60,000 students from Delhi Government School had failed. Out of these 64,570 students, many had failed more than twice in class 9. They had appeared class 10 board exams through correspondence (CBSE Patrachar). But only 1,654 students managed to clear the exam.

On this situation, Chief Minister Kejriwal attacked the previous government blaming them for faulty no-detention policy. According to him, this no-detention policy till class 9 has ruined the education system. Students face mass failure when they appeared for class 9.So they need to appear through open school for class 10 and around 60,000 students failed.

The CM was addressing at the Chattarsal Stadium on the occasion of Independence Day.

Around 25,000 students out of the total 60,000 are waiting for the results for their compartment class 10 Board exams. For the rest of students who could not appear in this compartment exam being failed in more than two subjects. The government has planned to help them and also for those who may fail in their compartment exams appeared. These will be enrolled with National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).This movement from CBSE patriarchal to NIOS will need students to take re-exams only for subjects they failed in.

One of the government officials said that they are planning to provide regular classed for those subjects in selected schools or these classes can be held in the last schools they had attended.CM had Arvind Kejriwal announced that he will assure the readmission and arrangement of special classes for these students.
