It has been confirmed that NCERT books and syllabus will now be applicable in all UP board schools. This was confirmed by the UP deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma. The new NCERT pattern will be applicable from next session onwards. This move is in line with many other states who have made NCERT books mandatory in their schools.
This has been done to make the education at par with the CBSE affiliated schools running in the state which are considered to be better as compared to the education standards in the UP board schools. This move will also make students at par with students studying in the CBSE affiliated schools and will help them to take admissions in Delhi University.
Technical and computer education will also be introduced along with various games facility, digital black board, e-library, smart classes and wifi facility in all government aided schools.
Students will also be taught Yoga to make them physically fit.
The examination pattern will also be in line with the CBSE system as per which the school examinations will spread over 20 days as compared to current 70 days.
This will increase the demand for NCERT books in the state. NCERT is already in the process of mass printing of books as per new session and supplying to various schools and book shops in the country.
