The Central Board of Secondary Education has been declaring the schedule for both practical as well as internal examinations to the affiliated schools. From January 16, 2018, the board has scheduled to conduct the practical exams for class 12 and 10 during the academic year of 2018. And it is expected to conduct the exams before February 25, 2018. The students can visit the official website of the CBSE board at cbse.nic.in in order to check for the marking scheme that has been recently released.
The CBSE circular
The CBSE circular has been issued to all the schools along with the instructions regarding the CBSE practical examinations. The time period is scheduled by the board but, the particular dates for the sensible examination is set by the individual schools. As per the circular, the schools are notified to upload the practical marks on the official website of the CBSE board before February 25, 2018. And the schools should also submit the internal grades of each student in class 10th to the CBSE board. The class 10 students internal marks will be uploaded to the official website cbse.nic.in in between January 10, 2018, to February 20, 2018.
The CBSE boards 2018
It is expected that the exam dates for both the class 10 and 12 CBSE board examinations will be declared in January 2018. Even though there is no official confirmation regarding the date sheet but the tentative date for the release is expected to be on January 10, 2018. The answer sheets for all the practical examination of class 12th students have been provided to the individual schools.
Board examination 2018
CBSE board will conduct the examination during the month of March which will be continued until the 3rd week of April. But, as per the latest information and due to the Holi festival, the CBSE 2018 examinations will be started from the March 1st onwards. If this is the case then, the CBSE 2018 examinations will be concluded by the end of the March. Therefore the teachers will be given more time for the paper valuation.
The board has also announced that the exams are once again compulsory for all the class 10 students which will be introduced again in the academic session of 2018. Due to the comprehensive evaluation (CCE) system which was introduced in 2009, there will be few days gap for the CBSE class 10 students exams. And the students who failed last year in the class 10 Board examinations are notified to rewrite the in the year 2018.
Examination scheme
The CBSE examination board has been divided into two different sections. One is the practical examination and the other one is theoretical. The practical examination includes subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, accountancy, business studies, and so on which will be conducted at the respective schools. And the exam will be conducted by the external examiner authorized by the CBSE board. The theoretical examination will be processed as an external examination for both class 10 as well as 12 students.
Marking pattern
The CBSE board has announced the marking pattern for the class 10 including subjects like mathematics, science, social science, English (communications) and English (language and literature). The students can once check for the marking pattern on the official website. Similarly, the marking pattern for the class 12 has been declared in the website including subjects like accountancy, biology, business studies, chemistry, economics, English, Hindi, mathematics, and physics.
As per the norms applied for the class 12 school certification examination the students should get minimum of 33% marks in order to qualify for the theoretical examination. And in the same way, the students should get 33% marks for both theory and practical in order to get qualified.
