Students not happy with the Board exam datesheets

After the release of the datesheet for class 10 and class 12 board examination by the CBSE board, there is widespread dissatisfaction amongst students and parents due to the dates and sequence of subjects decided by the board.

Some of the main points raised by the class 12 students in conversation with studiestoday.com were –

a) History exam has been scheduled on March 20 which is followed by Mathematics on March 21, thus the humanities students don’t get any time for preparation at all

b) Further, for humanities itself three exams have been scheduled which don’t have any breaks in between, April 5 – Psychology, April 6 – Political Science and April 7 – Legal studies and to add to that on April 9 exam for physical education has been scheduled.

The political science teacher said that political science for class 12 has 18 chapters, it will be difficult for students to prepare for political science immediately after Psychology.

Similarly, class 12 students have also said that Physics exam has been scheduled on March 7 which immediately after English exam which is on March 5 leaving little time for students to revise Physics which is a difficult subject.

Students and parents have even taken up to social media regarding their concerns.

CBSE officials have said that there is not much impact on students as the number of students who have taken up that combination of subjects which have such dates of exams are not much. There is little possibility of the dates being changed now as the datesheet has been designed after multiple rounds of discussion at CBSE.
