First Aid included as co-circular activity in CBSE affiliated schools

As per the new notification from CBSE, the board has directed the affiliated schools to include topics like 'First Aid' and 'Basic Emergency Care' in their curriculum.

A CBSE manual now has 'First Aids' as a part of the subject of 'Disaster Management' and has become a important module of eight co-curricular activities in the scheme of examination. The Health and Physical Education Teachers of the schools would be required to deliver First Aid related education in the schools.

The schools will also be required to make arrangements for first aid boxes in the schools for training purpose.

Though CBSE hasn’t provided specific directions to the schools so the process still needs some clarity.

Practical training will also be provided to the students of class VI – X.
