CBSE results 2017: Old System Could have checked Totaling Errors

Students of class 12th have been complaining of low marks and need verification. They have mentioned about the terrible low marks in certain subject, which were later rectified by an even more unbelievable margin.

As per Ashok Ganguly, the former chairman - “the board could have saved itself the embarrassment if the traditional or the old system was followed” says Ashok Ganguly, the former chairman. Not just this year, it’s a question that arises every year and we need to put an end to such issues and come up with response system, in other words outlier system that could help us to keep us out from such embarrassment. Explaining further ,he said that this system which had been in use for 20yrs , if a student scored high marks in four or five subjects but considerably less in one or two others ,it meant there is something extremely wrong , thus alerting the one concerned . And the vice versa if a student had have low marks in four or five subjects but high marks in the remaining ones, it means those copies needs to be verified again.

Adding to that, he said “we would delay the results to check such cases - as it meant there was something wrong, copies should be brought out again and evaluated again. We would find 80% of copies were subjected to correction.

“A good moderation or outlier system, with a patience to sit over copies for 72 hours can avoid such embarrassment. I delayed to check such cases under the outlier system. ’’

Well there is no official response from the CBSE over the re-totaling confusion, yet student on the other side stand for their right fighting for their Justice. CBSE Former chairman has lots of points to bestow yet the bell of confusion still rings on the head. Hoping for the best of decision to be taken let’s see what CBSE have these time to treat the students of Indian.
