CBSE must have total authority on NEET Question Papers

The Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE) is under the Union Government of India, and every year CBSE conducts final examination for 10th and 12th Grade students. Beside these they also Conduct JEE mains for engineering and NEET (for medical). But it’s quite a concern when lakh’s of students appear for this examination hoping for a better future CBSE tends to play with their aspirations.

According to Sameer Phale, who specializes in NEET coaching, said, The students who studied NCERT Biology, the paper was high scoring" yet The question on frogs should not have been there in the question paper at all. The topics 'frog' and 'earthworm' were kept out of the syllabus prescribed by Medical Council of India (MCI) for NEET. It is very Odious that these errors are being ignored while reviewing the question paper.

It should be noted that these topics are not a part of NEET, MCI curated syllabus. On the other side many local academician lament over the same fact and it comes to them as a surprise that how questions out of the syllabus were included in the paper and yet not reviewed.

According to CBSE committee , to challenge any question the student have to pay Rs 1000 per question which will be refunded upon a successful challenge , well but the logic of paying Rs10,000 for 10 questions is beyond me. There are still many students in the country who can’t bear the amount. Now, a student is awarded four marks for every correct answer and minus one for a wrong answer. “If one student challenges a question successfully, will he be the only one to get a bonus mark or will it be done for everyone? If it will benefit only the person who challenged it, then it's not a level-playing field because someone without money may not attempt it at all," Dr. Sameer R Phale, a professional teacher who has been teaching Biology since 1995 has very important point for all of us.

While students here play their card of fate fighting for wrong and right , CBSE committee takes no direct commands over his mistake , every year it has a lot of controversy to look after yet the minute of mistakes are ignored. Well, the NEET results are to be declared before June 26 as per Supreme Court orders, till then we can just hope for the best.
