CBSE launches “E-CBSE” a mobile application to facilitate scholars and professors with e-learning material. An official report released by   Press Trust of India (PTI) stated, "The application was initiated by Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu and HRD Minister Smriti Irani along with CBSE Chairman YSK Seshu Kumar."

The report further stated, "The aim of the attempt is to ameliorate scholars and teaching faculty by enormous ways of   memorizing and teaching materials to enhance and enrich curriculum deeds. Students will also be facilitated by existing materials provided by NCERT."

E-CBSE is a prominent part of the ongoing Digital India. Digital India is an ambitious attempt by the Government of India to connect citizens of India electronically to Government services. The initiative started on July 1, 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This initiative will connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks. It consists of three main components i.e. the infrastructure designing, digitally delivering services and digital enlightenment.
