HOW TO INSERT SMARTART TO THE SLIDE

2. Click SmartArt from the Illustrations group.

EDITING SMARTART
 
You can change the layouts, color and style of the SmartArt. To edit SmartArt, follow the given steps:
 
1. Double – click the SmartArt. The Design and Format tab opens.
2. There are many options such as Layout, Colors and Styles.
3. To change the type of SmartArt, choose from layouts group.
4. To change the style and appearance of SmartArt, choose from the SmartArt styles.
5. To change the colors, choose from the change colors option.
 
SETTING TRANSITION TO THE SLIDE
 
1. Click on the ‘Transitions’ tab.
2. In the ‘Transition to this slide’ group, click on the down arrow to select the type of transition.
3. Click on any of the many options that you want to select.
4. You can also apply the same transition effect to all the slides by clicking on Apply to All buttons.
5. You can see the slide show of your presentation with the transition effects by clicking the Preview button in Transition tab.
 
HOW TO INSERT SOUND IN THE PRESENTATION
 
You can insert a sound file or a movie in your slide.
To insert music, follow the given steps:
 
1. Click the Insert tab.
2. Click Audio from the media group. A list of options appears.
3. Choose any one option from the list.
• Audio from file: This option displays Insert Audio dialog box. Select the music file present on your system and click Insert.
• Sound from clip organizer: This option displays Clip Art task pane with sound files. Click any file to add in the slide.

1. Datasheet: A sheet with rows and columns that resembles a spreadsheet in which you can type you data.
 
2. Plot Area: A rectangular area bounded by two axes where the chart is plotted.
 
3. Axis: A line that frames one side of the plot area. The two common are as follows:
(a)x-axis or Category Axis: This is the Horizontal axis of the chart.
(b)y-axis or Value Axis: This is the Vertical axis of the chart.
 
4. Data Label: a label that describes a specific series of data markers.
 
5. Data Series: data series are the main categories of information in a chart and are usually reflected in chart’s legend and in the first cell of data sheet row or column.
 
6. Legend: It identifies each data series in a unique color or pattern.
 
7. Data Table: A table that displays in the chart listing, the exact data in the data sheet.
 
8. Gridlines: Lines that display across the category or value axes, which enhances the chart’s readability.
 
HOW TO INSERT A CHART IN SLIDE
 
To insert a chart in the selected slide, follow the given steps:
 
1. Click Insert tab on the ribbon.
2. Click chart from Illustration ground. The Insert chart dialog box opens.
3. Select the category of chart you want to insert in the slide.
4. Now, select the chart style from the right side.
5. Then, click OK button.
6. You will get a readymade chart and a data sheet with readymade data.
7. Type the data, column or row labels that you want to include in the chart. Delete any data available in the readymade sheet. Observe the changes in the chart.
8. You may also format your chart by using Design, Layout and Format tab
9. Close the data sheet by clicking the close button. To return to slide, click elsewhere in it
