COMEDK Eligibility Criteria
Compulsory Subjects
Should have studied Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with English in the final two years of 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination.
Marks Required
General category should have secured atleast 45% aggregate marks and also qualified individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics during their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the aggregate marks to be secured is 40%.
COMEDK Exam
COMEDK or Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental College of Karnataka is a state level exam for admission in undergraduate engineering courses in the state of Karnataka. It’s an online entrance test in English language which is held annually in the month of May. Candidate from all over the country can apply for B.E/ B.Tech /B.Arch courses. This exam covers more than 120 colleges/ Institutes that accepts COMEDK scores. The level of COMEDK is considered to be easiest as most questions are straightforward (direct).
Eligibility for COMEDK
Below will the eligibility criteria according to COMEDK 2020 for B.E/ B.Tech programs
- Candidate should have a qualified PUC or passed class 12th/ equivalent exams
- Compulsory subjects should be – Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with English in class 12th/ equivalent exams.
- Aggregate Marks for General Category- 45% & for SC/ST/OBC – 40%
The eligibility criteria according to COMEDK 2020 for B.E/ B.Tech programs in Biotechnology/ Biology:
Candidate should have passed class 12th/ equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and a compulsory subject from- Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer/ Science/ Electronics.
The eligibility criteria according to COMEDK 2020 for B.Arch programs:
- Candidate should have passed class 12th/ equivalent exams. While it also accept 10 + 3 diploma recognized by State or Central Government.
- Compulsory subject should be Mathematics.
- Aggregate Marks for General Category- 45% & for SC/ST/OBC – 40% with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry passed individual.
- Candidate should have passed NATA or JEE Main paper 2 as authorities don’t conduct any entrance test for B.Arch
Exam Pattern of COMEDK
- For every correct answer the candidate is awarded with 1 Mark. Thus 180 questions and 180 marks.
- There is no negative marking for any incorrect or unanswered questions.
- Although candidate with less negative responses are given preference in scores.
