CMA/ICMAI Foundation Eligibility Criteria

For registration to CMA Foundation

  • Passed Class 10 or equivalent exams from a recognized Board or Institution

For appearing in exam

  • Passed 10+2 or other equivalent examination

 

Documents required

  • Attested Copy of Matriculation Certificate

  • Attested copy of 10+2 Certificate or Marks Statement

  • 3 passport size photographs.

About CMA/ICMAI Foundation

CMA is perfect option for those who wants to pursue a career in the area of Cost and Management Accounting. ICMAI exam was conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). ICMAI and CMA both are interchangeable names of the exam.  After CMA foundation there are two stages- CMA Intermediate & CMA Final. Students who have passed the Class 12th are eligible for this exam. CMA is conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December.

Eligibility of CMA

Below will the eligibility criteria according to CMA exam 2019:

  • Candidate appearing for CMA Foundation must have passed Class X or equivalent exam from recognized board
  • Candidate appearing must have passed Class X or equivalent exam from recognized board
  • Hold a Diploma in Commerce of Technical Education by any state Board or All Indian Council
  • Hold a diploma in Rural Service Examination

 

Syllabus of CMA Foundation

CMA is an offline examination of 3 hours and consists of 100 Descriptive type questions. Each paper in CMA carries 100 marks. CMA Foundation consists of 4 paper-

Paper 1: Fundamental of Economics and Management

  • Section A-Fundamental of Economics
  • Section B- Fundamental of Management
  • Paper 1 is total of 100marks
  • Duration of this paper is 180 minutes

Paper 2: Fundamental of Accounting (FOA)

  • Section A-Fundamental of Financial Accounting
  • Section B- Fundamental of Cost Accounting
  • Paper 2 is total of 100marks
  • Duration of this paper is 180 minutes

Paper 3: Fundamental of Laws and Ethics

  • Section A-Fundamental of Commercial Laws
  • Section B- Fundamental of Ethics
  • Paper 3 is total of 100marks
  • Duration of this paper is 180 minutes

Paper 4: Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics (FBMS)

  • Section A-Fundamental of Business Mathematics
  • Section B- Fundamental of Business Statistics
  • Paper 4 is total of 100marks
  • Duration of this paper is 180 minutes
