Go through the complete article for detailed information on BITSAT Exam 2020 such as eligibility criteria, application form, syllabus, test pattern, and many other important information.

BITS Pilani offers admission to the candidates into the B.E., B.Pharm and M.Sc. programs after qualifying this admission test. To crack the examination, it is very critical to understand the Test Format of BITSAT 2020!

BITSAT Exam 2020 is a test series of 3 hours without any break in between. The test consists of four parts: Part I–Physics |Part II– Chemistry |Part III – (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning |Part IV – Mathematics or Biology (For B. Pharm candidates).

All questions in this test are‘Objective type’. That is, they are multiple-choice questions, wherein, each question is presented with a choice of four answers, out of which only one is a correct answer.

Each correct answer gives us 3 marks (+3 marks), whereas every incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark). The candidate can also skip a question. No marks will be awarded for the questions we do not attempt.

We have to be very clear with our concepts as the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as a correct answer.

Going further in detail, there will be a total of 150 Questions divided into the four sections of the examination. Mentioned below are the number of questions in each part:

Part I: Physics-40 Questions

Part II: Chemistry-40 Questions

Part III : (a) English Proficiency- 15 Questions(b) LogicalReasoning- 10 Questions

Part IV : Mathematics/Biology (For B.Pharm) –45 Questions

There is no fixed pattern or time limit for individual sections of the test. The candidate can answer questions in sequence as per their own preference and also go back and change any of their answers among the 150 questions.

There is an additional incentive for students who have the gut to cross the excellence line!

A candidate who answers all the 150 questions, without skipping any question, gets an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, in the same time frame.

These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology only, four questions from each part. It is to be kept in mind that once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he or she can not go back to the earlier answered 150 questions for any sort of correction.

The questions are designed in a way that extraordinary students will be able to answer 150 questions in 180 minutes.

However, candidates need to remember that there is negative marking for wrong answers and guessing at this stage will rather result in disturbing the total score. So, literally speaking, it is an End Game of Accuracy within a fixed Time Span!

To share further, following are few more basics which are equally important-

All the instructions and questions of the test will be in English only. Candidates need to bring a pen for the purpose of rough work and signing the instruction sheet, whereas, blank sheets for rough work will be provided at the test centers.

Calculators and logarithmic tables are NOT allowed at the place of examination. Candidates are not allowed to bring any other personal belongings such as mobiles phones, etc., which rings a wrong bell to the invigilator.

The application form of BITSAT Exam 2020 is expected to be released by BITS, Pilani from the third week of January 2020, whereas, the process of submission usually ends till the second week of March.

The exact dates of the same will be declared shortly on the official website of BITS Pilani and the same can be viewed on our website

Registration and application procedure for BITSAT 2020 is completely possible online, whereas, fees can be paid in both online and offline mode.

Now, let us pay little attention to the BITSAT Exam 2020 score report!

Result time, the Nerve-Wracking Moment for all Students appearing in the examination. On completion of the test, the computer will announce the score to the candidate in terms of the total number of correct answers and wrong answers.

The candidate can also check his or her score report at the BITS Pilani admission website on the next day of the test and can also take a printout of the score report for further reference. Point to be NOTED is: No student will be allowed to repeat the test in the same year.
