BCECE Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Candidates must be citizens of India to be eligible for BCECE.

Qualifying Examination

  • Candidates who have passed or will be appearing in their 10+2 board or equivalent exam in 2019 will be eligible for BCECE.
  • All candidates should have qualified and secured a rank in JEE Main 2019

Subjects and Marks Required

  • Candidates need to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects as optional subject.
  • In the qualifying exam, General category candidates must have secured 45% marks; whereas SC/ ST/ OBC candidates need to have 40% for the same.

About BCECE Exam (Medical)

BCECE Exam or Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination is a state level offline exam. This exam offers admission into undergraduate engineering, agriculture, pharmacy and Health science course in the State of Bihar. Candidate can appear for this exam after class 12th for its UG programs. BCECE Exam is held in the month of April while the application form is available in March.

Eligibility for BCECE exam

Below will the eligibility criteria according to BCECE exam 2020:

  • Nationality: Candidate should be Indian Citizen and resident of Bihar State
  • Candidate who apply for admission in Medical will go through Medical examination
  • Required Qualification: Candidate must be passed Class 12th or equivalent for Pharmacy courses
  • Minimum marks: for general category minimum 45% marks is required, while for SC/ST candidate it is 40% marks
  • Compulsory subjects: Physics and Chemistry are the compulsory subjects while any one of the among subject is required i.e. Mathematics & Biology

Exam Pattern of BCECE

The following are the details of the exam pattern of BCECE 2020. By knowing about the exam pattern, the candidate can be able to get familiar with the particulars like mode, duration, section, marking scheme etc.

  • Total Questions: BCECE will have 100 questions from each subject
  • Marking scheme: For every correct answer candidate will fetch 4 Marks and for every incorrect answer 1 marks will be deducted
  • Candidate will be given multiple options and they have to choose the correct answer i.e. MCQs
  • Duration: candidate have to complete each section in 90 minutes
  • The detail syllabus of BCECE exam regarding each subject is given on the official website.
  • BCECE 2020 will take place in two Stages. The duration of Stage I is two hours & 15 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes for stage II.
