Some of the schools in Noida have decided to shut for 3 Days because father of two students in Noida was traced to be infected with the contagious Coronavirus. The internal exams have also been cancelled in those schools after the virus alarm.

A 45 year old male who is a resident of East Delhi is amongst the first person who has been confirmed of carrying the dangerous Coronavirus in the national capital of India. Panic reached the schools as this man was traced to be the father of two children studying in a private school of Noida near Delhi.

Coronavirus is a common virus which is initiated through an infection in your nose, sinuses, or upper throat. It is an epidemic that was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. It has spread over the globe and now has reached Delhi as well. The virus has infected more than 88,000 people across the globe and killed over 3,000.

A private school in Noida NCR where this case was detected will be shut for three days - from Wednesday to Friday. The man who tested positive for the virus had thrown a birthday party in Agra where he got in touch with five families which also included students from the Noida School. These five families have been kept in isolation and six people amongst them have already complained of having fever. Their samples have been sent for cross checking the deadly disease to the National Institute of Virology in Pune.

The Health officials are trying to find out the people who came across the six people suspected to be infected.

As per a note to the parents by the school administration, "These children have also been tested and as a precautionary measure have been quarantined for the next two weeks." The school premises are being sanitized by the local health authorities and the school has also cancelled the internal exams for high school students.

The Noida schools were not officially closed on Tuesday, but several parents chose not to send their children to the school due to anxiety. The Board exams will continue as normal whereas, the internal exams for Class 7th and above were cancelled as a precautionary measure.

The Union Health Ministry confirmed on Monday that the Delhi based victim had traveled to Italy in the past few days. Italy is amongst the countries where coronavirus has emerged as a major threat. As per the sources, the man was not screened at the Delhi airport as he flew in from Austria's Vienna where the footprints of the virus have not been detected to that level.

The infected man is being cured at a hospital in Delhi. In the interim, the crew and passengers of February 25th Air India Vienna-Delhi flight, which transported the infected man back home has been asked to stay in isolation for 14 days at their homes.

An urgent meeting has been organized by the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with Satyendar Jain, the Health Minister and other officials to take an idea of the government's readiness to deal with Coronavirus.

A statement of great concern has been tweeted by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi "No need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection,"

The Prime Minister examined the situation and preparedness on the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus.  An extensive review has been done and different ministries & states have been instructed to work together, from screening people landing in India to facilitating prompt medical support.
