Why move to NCERT pattern?

One of the key reasons for implementing the NCERT pattern for primary-level school students is to boost the confidence level of their students so that they can give tough competition to other board students. The introduction of NCERT pattern at primary and upper primary levels will give students of UP government schools an excellent edge in education while competing against the best students of central and other boards.

Senior executives working on policy formats

Media reports have also claimed that the minister has already issued instructions to senior officials of the department for the design of the policy to ensure well-ordered implementation of the new pattern for primary and upper primary schools. Earlier, UP board exam 2019 was also based on NCERT pattern.

Moreover, Prerna Mobile Application was launched by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 4th September 2019 – a day before Teacher’s Day.

Focus on Quality Education at School Level

The purpose of the UP board is to provide quality education by appointing the Director-General of School Education who will focus only on education quality improvement in government schools. The Director-General of School Education will be responsible for designing policies to bring qualitative improvement in government primary and upper primary schools located in the state.
