CBSE Hardens Guidelines for Changing School

As per the norms, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been announced strict rules regarding the change of school for reasons like better education, etc.

On 5th April 2019, CBSE has made a list of documents that parents, as well as students, will have to give for direct admissions in Class X and XII. The following are the documents required to take admissions in Class X and XII are

1. new address proof,

2. transfer order of parents and

3. documents supporting admission on medical grounds.

The students who are thinking to change the school for better education, their parents and their schools both have to submit the documents as per listed by CBSE. Alongside their parents have to submit the required documents, both the admitting and leaving school will also have to submit the records of CBSE Board Results of the last five years.

According to the latest reports, schools must have to give both the qualifications and teaching experience to provide comparative evidence according to the CBSE requirement.

According to CBSE, many students change their schools because of different reasons. Shifting of family, transfer of parents and distance as the reasons for the shift are the justifications that the board accepts without any issues but the board brings to notice reasons like better education, etc. The board has instructed all the students if they want to change schools better change in class IX and XI instead of class X and XII.

As the registration process for board exams starts from class IX and XI only. That’s why the board has advised all the students to change their schools in class IX and XI instead of Class X and XII respectively. The students who change their schools in class X and XII, the board has to do a lot of extra paperwork for them. In between this extra paperwork, mistakes are made and cause problems for the students in the future.

Schools and teachers have emphasized that the strict guidelines were possibly needed as many students change their school to another when their previous schools deny to promote them due to the board exams in class X and XII.
