Tamil Nadu may be next in line to make CBSE mandatory for all schools

In an attempt to bring parity to the education delivered to students in Tamil Nadu, a plea has been filed to implement CBSE in all schools. The idea came about when the Central government made NEET mandatory to be able to qualify for medical courses, and since NEET is completely based on CBSE, a lot of students from Government & matriculation schools fell behind and were unable to compete with the CBSE frontrunners.

The syllabus followed by the government and matriculation schools in Tamil Nadu is poles apart from the CBSE modules and may not be enough for the students to appear for stringent competitive exams. Various other neighbouring states have adopted CBSE keeping their students' future in mind.

In today's world of competition, it's difficult for Government school students to keep up with the race and appear for challenging national level entrance exams with the limited curriculum they’re exposed to. Therefore, the decision may prove to be a blessing in disguise for the youngsters aiming towards a great education and earning reputable jobs.

Due to the absence of a response to the plea filed and sent to the school education secretary on May 19, a notice was ordered by the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court on July 3.
