The Odisha tribunal directed the CBSE to re-evaluate the solution sheets of 159 additional students, who complained the court to deal with the discrepancies in the board results of 12th Std that were announced in May 2017. The High Court asked CBSE to have interaction experts and declare the results by 30th June. Previously, the High Court had ordered CBSE to re-evaluate 22 answer sheets only.

The Delhi HC questioned the board over its scrapping of the re-evaluation policy, asking it to submit the choice of its organization and examination committee. In October 2016, the CBSE shelved the policy. It earlier told the HC there have been only "0.21% mistakes out of the 10 lakh CBSE students who participate in the board exams across the country".

The next hearing is scheduled on June 21.
