Students are suffering and raising objection over the CBSE re-evaluation system

12th class CBSE students are angry once it emerged that there have been gaps of 400% in fresh and re- evaluated results scores after the correction of answer scripts. 31 May 2017: Against the faulty results objection is raised by students and their parents

All the CBSE students from across the country, particularly Odisha, decry for the low scores. Faulty analysis and delay in results while not mentioning any reason to the students.

16 Jun 2017: CBSE is asked to verify 159 answer sheets by Odisha High Court 

The Odisha tribunal directed the CBSE to re-evaluate the solution sheets of 159 additional students, who complained the court to deal with the discrepancies in the board results of 12th Std that were announced in May 2017. The High Court asked CBSE to have interaction experts and declare the results by 30th June. Previously, the High Court had ordered CBSE to re-evaluate 22 answer sheets only.

20 Jun 2017: CBSE re-evaluation: Students demanded answer sheets, but the deadlines are extended.

Defense: According to CBSE, it received re-evaluation applications from solely 2.47% students

CBSE claimed it had only received applications for re-evaluation from 2.47% students, complaintive allegations of "faulty analysis process".

The figures recorded in the year 2014, 2015 and 2016 were 2.31, 2.09 and 2.53. This comes even amid reports that a lot of students are applying for the re-evaluation of their answer sheets grumbling regarding 'severe flaws' in the analysis.

Policy: Delhi HC raised queries CBSE over scrapping of CBSE re-evaluation policy

The Delhi HC questioned the board over its scrapping of the re-evaluation policy, asking it to submit the choice of its organization and examination committee. In October 2016, the CBSE shelved the policy. It earlier told the HC there have been only "0.21% mistakes out of the 10 lakh CBSE students who participate in the board exams across the country".

The next hearing is scheduled on June 21.
