NCERT books can currently be created obligatory at the 9th class syllabus for Science and Mathematics subjects and 11th class for Mathematics, Biology and Commerce subjects for the tutorial session (2017-2018). NCERT books can become a part of the syllabus for 10th and 12th classes from next academic session (2018-2019). The choice to incorporate NCERT books within the syllabus has been taken to make sure that CBSE students get a far better plan of national-level competitions and exams, besides serving to them score higher marks so that they may secure seats in top institutions at the graduation level.
Prior to the commencement of the new school term, the school teachers are getting trained in order to provide a better plan for the new syllabus. The trainers were first imparted coaching at a five-day workshop within the Regional Institute of Education, Shamla Hills. Currently, the trainers can offer tips to different Science and Mathematics CBSE teachers of the state in 8 different phases/rounds.
