Revision or practice: the biggest mistake a student makes when going to coaching center is that student thinks studying in the class room is enough. Revision is not required. Mind you. Nothing can stay if there is no practice. That applies here. So practice makes man perfect in all cases. Even if you’re attending coaching classes, you require practice. Maintain two to three hours for revising the concepts what you have learned in the coaching. While revising the concepts, underline what makes your key point. So that you can get in mind that the key point is important.

Notes or study material: you can look for the best study materials which make you best for studying. For better understanding refer at least three books to get clear in that concept. By more examples, you will be perfect in any concept. Refer NCERT, RD Sharma objective for competitions for getting the mathematics. For organic and inorganic chemistry, follow the book of NCERT. For physics, follow HC. Verma

Now let us talk about self-study without coaching: There should be a lot more hard work without having any type of coaching. So follow these steps, to crack IIT JEE:

Focus: simply studying is not enough. Focus on the concepts and keeping concentration on the work of what you are studying makes the perfect learning. The early you start the study, the better.

Follow your routine: There is no short cut to the success. Everything matters are hard work. Make you prepare a routine from morning to evening and make few hours at night. It will be never enough time for cracking IIT JEE. But try for the best and make efforts to get the result.

Study materials: if you are having the pressure of self-study, the only reason is about study materials. Some materials don’t relevant to the topics. Follow NCERT objective examination books for studying. There are more examples in that book, to get more understandable.

Interacting with the passed IIT JEE’s: make a contact with the students who have already passed the IIT JEE. And interact with them about the examination. You will know the style what they applied for cracking the exam. And you will get an extensive idea of dos for self- study.
