Extra marks for class 10 students

The students and teachers of class 10 had earlier complained to the CBSE board regarding errors in the class 10 English Question paper. This was investigated by CSBE and decision on this topic was awaited.

CBSE has decided to give benefit to the students and will give 2 extra marks to all students as compensation for error in the comprehension passage section.

Online petition was files which said that the students had to read a passage and write synonyms for the words “endurance”, “obstruction” and “motivation”. However, the paragraphs they were supposed to look at were incorrectly marked.

“The typing error has been noticed and it has been Board’s policy to not let students face any disadvantage. The marking scheme has been decided in interest of students and all those who appeared for the particular question will be awarded two marks,” a senior CBSE official was quoted by PTI.

CBSE has been kind enough for class 10 students by giving decision to not conduct mathematics exams and now extra marks. This is a good gesture which keeps the morale of students high and should be appreciated.
