The state board students might have to give aptitude tests to enter into Delhi University. This is being considered by the government due to concerns raised by students during previous years stating that the students giving exams as per CBSE board have tougher course to study and stricter marking schemes whereas the state board have much lenient marking schemes due to which the students are able to get admission in reputed colleges of Delhi University.
If the above is decided by the government then from this year onwards the aptitude tests will be started which will be conducted in the premises of Delhi university Colleges or designated centres.
CBSE has also directed other board to do away with the marks moderation policies. CBSE had also closed its moderation policies last year due to various concerns raised by students.
Every year almost 3 lakh students take admission in Delhi colleges. Organizing the aptitude tests will be a major challenge in front of the University officials now which might delay the admission process as DU doesn’t have the infrastructure to do exams at such a large scale
