CTET test Postponed in Jammu and Kashmir

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on has recently announced that the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be postponed in flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir.

"In view of the current situation due to floods in Jammu and Kashmir, the board has decided to postpone the CTET-September 2014 examination that was scheduled to be held at the Srinagar centre," the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said in a statement.

The examination for the rest of India and abroad will still be conducted Sep 21st 2014.

The date for examination of Srinagar center has still not been decided but its said that it will be announced soon after the situation in J&K will be better.

 

CTET is the teacher eligibility examination conducted is mandatory to qualify as a teacher and is intended to test a candidate's ability to teach standard I to VIII students,
