Chance for JEE and NEET now to be held twice annually

In to make the students give their best shot in the engineering entrance exam, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the national medical entrance exam, National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) the Lok Sabha on Monday has decided to conduct the examination twice every year. The Union minister of state for human resource development (HRD) Upendra Kushwaha, has responded to the situation by submitting a written question in the lower house of parliament. It was mentioned that in order to conduct the examinations for all the higher educational institutes, it is mandatory for the National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous and self- sustained premier testing organization.

Both the entrance examinations will be authorized by the CBSE board and will be conducted successfully by the NTA. However, it is informed that the exam will be conducted twice a year via online. Therefore, this will be helpful for the students and they will also get the best opportunities to test themselves in the exams. The Central Board of Secondary Education is taking the complete responsibility of conducting examinations for both JEE for admission to engineering colleges and NEET for admission to medical colleges respectively. It was informed to the HRD ministry by the CBSE board that it would be burdened for the students to write the exam twice a year.
