CBSE looks for advice on offer to discard homework

The apex body of education in India Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)’s plans to get the reviews from the school teachers, instructors, learners and parents to find a substitute to the current system of imparting home work to the school children is getting a positive response from all over the country.

As the last date of providing response to  CBSE, Sept 15, approaches, more of the parents and students seem to be very much enthusiastic about finding a right substitute to the work being provided to be done by students at home, which is particularly considered as a difficult and time- taking task.

Based on various discussions with parents, teachers and CBSE students it was derived that the trend of giving home work is a bit tedious process for sure. More than the mere home work, the various projects and tasks are really impacting the students,. Parents specifically expressed that the CBSE’s pattern of giving homework to the students of CBSE, especially during the holidays, is tedious.

It was recommended by the parents that the kid be given some other exciting work which not only stimulates his interest, but is valuable for the entire group. For example, a kid living in a city can be requested to create an article on the flooding, which he encounters almost every monsoon while commuting to the school.

According to teachers, it would be much more preferable for a particular student to get ready all the sketches, designs and the Power-Point demonstrations and presentations on community-specific problems.
