CBSE leaves students in the lurch with NEET delays

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) stated that after yesterday mid night, MCC is not going to accept any other choices posted by candidates. Choice filling and locking facility are extended till 11:59 pm on 12^th July 2017. Choices will be locked by MCC server automatically by 11:59 pm on 12.07.2017.” The counseling for admission under 85 percent state quota seats will be conducted by MCC or an authority by the state Government.

The students who are eligible to gain admission to MBBS and BDS courses across the country are the students who clear the allotment process. And only 15 per cent of the seats allotted for the overall quota, and the rest of being under a state quota and other reservations.

CBSE still has not released any specifics about the counseling like cut-offs. For example, in Kerala, 28,694 students cleared the examination, but there is no clarity yet, where they stand on the list in the nation wise quota.

There is a point of stress for the students, as the counseling scheduled for July 17, 2017. The students have been left basking in uncertainty by the CBSE
