CBSE is hunting for professionals to evaluate the answer sheets

Last year the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) faced problems with the evaluation process of 12th class board examinations. And now the board is trying to make the evaluation process more precise without any errors. A circular has been issued to all its affiliated schools by the board on Monday. And the circular is to inform that all the schools need to send their regular as well as experienced teacher’s list in order to select them for paper valuation which will, therefore, be helpful for the timely declaration of results. It is also informed that the schools which are against the board's directive may be dissaffiliated by the board.

The CBSE board is also very much keen to conduct 10th and 12th class examinations in an organized manner along with a timely declaration of results. The board has been observing that the schools have not been cooperating with them for many years. And the schools never peeped to help the board regarding proposing or appointing and relieving the eligible teachers for the process of validating the answer sheets. However, the board is very much concerned that the schools should come forward to help with error-free correction along with timely submission of results.

As per the affiliation bye-laws of the board, it has informed that the management, as well as the principles, should co-operate with them in all aspects. The board has also mentioned that the school should provide at least one examiner for each subject or even more than one which depends upon the number of students sent to the examination. If the school fails to provide the requirements of the CBSE board, then it will have the complete authority to take action against them, which includes initiating action for even disaffiliation of the school. Further, the board added that the teachers who are taking classes from class 9th to 12th should register in the examination website thereby filling the required details.

And the schools should also provide the required information and help the board in selecting the teachers for answer sheet e-valuation. Then the selected teachers will be provided with a pre-valuation training by the board. It has been observed that the school authorities are not satisfied with the board's directions. The schools are unhappy saying that it would not be appropriate for them to reveal their best teaching staff's information. And the answer sheet e-valuation will be continued for about one month and the answer sheets for other classes also need to be evaluated by the teachers. The schools have also added that the teachers may have their personal works and some other teachers may go for vacations and this would be disturbing them.
