Subsequent to the false news circulated on various media platforms on 11.04.2018 alleging that some questions in JEE (Main) 2018 Exam were identical to 2016 mock test of Narayana Coaching Academy, CBSE issued a detailed clarification yesterday (11.04.2018) itself to all media debunking the false news after thorough enquiry into the matter.

While it is established that the news about JEE (Main) 2018 Questions being identical to 2016 mock test is completely baseless and circulated to damage the image of the board, CBSE has taken serious cognizance of the situation and filed a written complaint for lodging FIR against the website owner of cisthetaglobal.com with the DCP (Crime) Delhi Police Headquarters on 11.04.2018.

It is pertinent to mention that CBSE has successfully conducted the 6th edition of the prestigious JEE (Main) Exam on 08.04.2018 at 1621 centres spread across the world for an approximate 10.43 Lakh registered candidates. However there were rumours that 7-8 questions in physics appeared to be exactly similar to those asked by Narayana Academy in the 2016 mock test.

The news was also flashed on the above weblink (http://cisthetaglobal.com/is-jee-2018-physics-paper-copied-from-model-p…) of cisthetaglobal.com. The representative of this link has said on record that this material was received through whatsapp and was uploaded on their website. He refused to take any responsibility of the material hosted on this link, and informed CBSE that the facts of the content/images were not verified and as per their policy they are not responsible for the information uploaded on the website and that it was displayed as received. This argument is completely unacceptable to CBSE as this callous and irresponsible attitude of the owners has caused undue anxiety and doubt in the public mind with regard to the credibility of CBSE and the JEE (Main) Exam which is also a gateway for admission to IIT Advanced examination.

The spokesperson of Narayana Coaching Academy has also informed CBSE that the images displayed on the website are not of their Coaching Academy. According to the Academy this is fake, baseless and fabricated.

The Board once again appeals to all stakeholders to ascertain the facts from all credible sources before believing such fake news in the ongoing atmosphere of rumour mongering deliberately being perpetuated to malign the image of CBSE.
