Bihar board likely to change exam pattern

As per the informant, the BSEB or Bihar School Education Board Assembly or authority will examine the Examination system and the marking system of the various Examination Boards and imply few changes that can be made to it.

In the year,2017, out of  Twelve Lakhs and 60 thousand(12.6 lakhs) students who appeared for the intermediate or twelfth(12th) level examination, merely thirty-six percent(36%) could able clear the exam, while, around Seven Lakhs and Nanty Four Thousands(7.94 lakhs) Failed. The Ratio of failing percentage is at Sixty-four (64%) percent.

In the case of 10th level examination, the scenario seems to same as 49.68% failed. This year almost around 8 Lakhs and Fifty-Six Thousand (8.56 lakhs) students failed out of those who appeared for the Boards exam, 2017.

At the same time, this year's awful statistics sole cause for the BSEB  officials to consider for options, state exam board candidates have been criticised about "too tough question papers than other similar boards" and "cheap percentages" for the last few sessions. "if you look into the fact that until a few years ago, securing a distinction position or marks was infrequent in Bihar Board and the students who passed with first division perceives as a topper," a BSEB authorised person said.

BSEB the Chairman of BSEB of Bihar School Education Board, Mr Anand Kishor revealed that the Board was designing same ideas to ameliorate the examination and marking procedure or system for the ease of the students. He also revealed that they are presently surveying all features of the examination model and marking system and a committee of five members has been established to work on the subject in order to modify them.

The committee includes the director of BSEB or Bihar School Education Board (Academics) Mr Akhileshwar Pandey and examination controller Yogesh Mishra, the secretary of or Bihar School Education Board or BSEB. The committee also comprises of two retired IAS officials. The BSEB or Bihar School Education Board is also in the correspondence of various educationists and subject specialist and also suppose to have quite a few rounds of discussion and meetings prior implementing an ultimate conclusion, an authorised BSEB Member said.

It has also been revealed by the authorised person that the BSEB committee will analyse the examination pattern and mark style of different exam boards to identify the changes that could be made. Quite a few changes in the examination pattern could be implemented, like more of optional questions and minimising the amount of vast-answer question, revealed by a BSEB personal.

The BSEB person did say that they do want their Board to be a high scoring board as similar to CBSE or ICSE so that the hard work of the students is justified correctly and rewarded with right marks and looking at their future they should be able to get admission in better institutions for higher studies. He also added that The Board will also encourage on the publishing of the model question papers of the revised examination pattern is available on their websites too well in advance for the students so that they could gather some benefit out of it well in advance and prepare well for the finals.
