15 Tips to Get You Ready for the Exam Day

Finally, the wait is over. Studying, planning and revising helped you prepare for the exam. Now is the time to give your 100%. Now it is the time to take the exam. Still, the most important work is left, what steps to take that so that your mind is fresh, you are energetic and ready to write your exam.

15 Tips for the Day of the Exam:

Exam Tip 1

Plan your morning the day before. How much time do you need to get ready? How far is the CBSE exam centre? How long will it take to reach? Etc. be sure to plan with time so that you don’t reach late.

Exam Tip 2

Recheck the time/venue/day of the exam. Don’t reach the examination centre in the afternoon for the morning exam. Though you are sure of it, there is no harm in rechecking.

Exam Tip 3

Have a good breakfast. Don’t eat anything too heavy to make you sleepy or too light to make you hungry in the middle of the exam. Not eating due to nervousness is not recommended. Relax and eat something.

Exam Tip 4

One day earlier pack your bag. Check if you have everything, the stationary, your ID etc. Thus you will not waste time in the morning looking for something important.

Exam Tip 5

Reach the venue much before the time. Sometimes there is so much rush outside the exam centre, just finding your way to go in or checking the seating plan can be time-consuming. Better to be a bit early.

Exam Tip 6

If other students are panicking or are nervous, avoid them. Just being with them may make you nervous too.

Exam Tip 7

Go to the toilet before the question paper is given. Wasting time during the exam to answer the nature’s call is not a good idea.

Exam Tip #8

Double check your name and roll number written on the answer sheet. It may sound stupid but students actually forget to write their names in the hurry to start the exam.

Exam Tip 9

Before starting to answer the CBSE questions, read the questions carefully and mentally decide how much time to allocate for each answer. This may seem like a waste of time but it can be very helpful.

Exam Tip 10

Most of the exams don't demand that you answer the questions in the given order. So answer the questions you know best first unless specified.

Exam Tip 11

Sometimes the brain just freezes. Don’t panic. Take a deep breath and just start answering the first questions. Your mind will soon start functioning and you will remember everything

Exam Tip 12

Since you must have planned how much time you will give to a particular section, stick to it. You don’t want to run out of time only to realise that some questions have to be left unanswered. Answer the questions you are not sure of to be answered at the end. Even if you don’t have time left, the loss would not be much.

Exam Tip 13

It is perfectly fine to ask the examiner for clarification on any question. Sometimes there is a misprint. So don't hesitate to clarify your doubts.

Exam Tip 14

Don’t be in a hurry to give in your answer sheets. Revise your paper. Use that time also constructively.

Exam Tip 15

Stay calm. You have prepared well and now you just have to reproduce it.
